Dr. Michael Boudreaux graduated from the Louisiana School of Dentistry in 2008. Prior to dental school, he was a manager of research and development, working in disciplines of mechanical, ceramic, and electrical engineering, providing the development of new technologies for the production of advanced noise filters used in aerospace, communication, and health industries. He has obtained a bachelor of science in biology degree from Nicholls State University in 1994 and a master of science in human anatomy degree with a focus in neuroscience from Louisiana State University in 1998. He was also an adjunct instructor of biological sciences at both Nunez Community College and Our Lady of Holy Cross College.
In 2004, Dr. Boudreaux received a full scholarship for all dental school expenses from the National Health Services Corps (NHSC) based in Baltimore, Maryland. The scholarship is based on merit and a 4+-year commitment after graduating to serving the nation’s medically-underserved communities. In 2008-2013, Dr. Boudreaux fulfilled his commitment as an NHSC Scholar in Terrebonne, St. Charles, and St. Mary Parishes.
Dr. Boudreaux is married to wife Julie and has two daughters, Cassandra and Vivian, and one grandchild, Gabriel. In his spare time, he enjoys being on the water, listening to Bob Marley, and cooling down with a nice IPA.
